About Me

I'm all about making new songs, hearing new stories, living new lives and making new friends. I'm still battling between the office comfort and the artistic dream. Hopefully, the second will win soon enough.

Hit me on IG: @santi_cantautor, you'll see my first ever self-made music album. I'd love to know what you think of it.

I also have a poetry IG, where I'm currently posting at least 1 daily haiku. It's been an interesting journey, if you wanna check that one too, here's where: @cabezaperdida.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love to meet people and make life-lasting friends. Everyone has a story to tell and I'd love to hear them all. After all, if we're not in this world to connect with others, then I have no clue what we're here for.

Interests

Traveling around the world using CS is still one of my not-accomplished dreams, but something tells me it's gonna happen soon after all this quarantine thing goes away.

  • music

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a hard one, as the list would be eternal, but I'll give it a try and leave a summary.

Music: Leiva, Glen Hansard, Pedro Pastor, Matchbox 20, Linkin Park, Sidecars, Pilar Cabrera

Movies: The music never stopped, August Rush, Vanilla sky, Funny Games, Inception

Books (Easiest one so far): Orejas de Pescado, Nada Importa, El final de las noches felices, Siddhartha, La sociedad de la nieve

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Writing, recording, editing, mixing, mastering and releasing my first EP, all on my own due to the absence of budget and time to do it with someone else. I feel really proud to find my songs on digital platforms, and though I know there's still lots to learn about it, and it would be way better to work with others, I still feel really proud of this!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you about Medellin by telling you different stories and showing you around, not just the touristic places. I could also help you out with your Spanish, as I'm kind of a language freak (don't worry, wouldn't correct unless you'd want me to. And I definitely wouldn't judge, as I know how hard it is to learn new languages, I'm actually trying to learn french now).

I'd love to learn about you, where you come from, your culture...Everyone has something to teach us and I'm always willing to learn something new.

I'm always open to share myself, my life, my music and my interests.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My friendship is the first thing I can (and want) to share with you. There's also a hot shower and a couple of cats a home ready to charge you with great energy. And a beer, we can always share a beer!
