About Me

Currently studying for the CPA exam via Becker Live. I travel to Dallas every weekend for one night so I may take the class on Saturday. Studying for this exam feels like the hardest thing I've had to do so far in my life.

I play Ultimate twice a week. The sport is fluid and to me brilliant. Reminds me much of Soccer but with a little more movement. Great spectator sport too.

Board Games too are great to play. Twice a year I go to a Board Game Convention in Dallas, TX. Roughly 3000 people show up which makes for great mingling. The board game library doubles the people offering a great diversity of play. Board Games for me are like little worlds with a new language to learn. Good for the mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hotels in Dallas are expensive. I literally just need a place to crash and then I am gone in the morning. Once my classes are over I will most likely use Couchsurfing to visit some new places yet visited and hopefully meet some great people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Beck, Stone Jesus, Incubus, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Common, A Tribe Called Quest, Vulfpeck

Movies: Oh boy, I'm a big fan of movies. One of my all time favorites is 200 Cigarettes, I enjoy Woody Allen movies, Quentin Tarantino movies, most movies with Bill Murray, Wes Anderson is amazing, not big into scary/horror movies unless it is part of a group watch, the Alien series, Chronicles of Riddick movies, Star Trek/Wars, Monty Pythons Quest for the Holy Grail (I own three copies weirdly enough)

Books: I also enjoy books quite a bit. Mostly collecting them recently since I'm reading for class. Currently reading Dune, big fan of Milan Kundera, Margaret Atwood, the Silo Saga, Gulliver's Travels, The Hobbit, Wheel of Time Series, American Gods and Neverwhere, Anton Chekhov,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in China for a year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I may be able to teach you something about budgeting/financing (number stuff) if you are not too familiar. If you are interested in food I could cook some Italian dishes I learned while running a restaurant.

I am currently learning to play the piano with much delight.

I have some fun stories of humility while traveling in China as well as just me being awkward from time to time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bookkeeping/Budgeting tips, Dark humor, board game player, I'm pretty easy going to be honest. Potentially up for anything so long as I can get to bed in time for class the next morning.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Italy, Mexico
