About Me
I have a bit of a quirky sense of humorāmy mind tends to take things literally, which leads to some pretty amusing moments!
I'm two feet on a massive spiritual journey, and can teach you the techniques to reach a trance state meditation. Spending right months in many Theravada Buddhist monasteries will do that!
One of my unique talents is observing people's energies and noticing the patterns that keep them stuck in struggles and misery. I can see how certain mindset or emotional patterns just keep repeating themselves, like a loop they canāt break free from. It's fascinating to witness, and I love helping others shift that energy!
I absolutely love being in nature! Although, Iāll admit, my most recent adventure was at a Buddhist Forest Nunnery in Sri Lanka, which had waaaay too many šsnakes and šµmonkeys - and was way more remote than Iād prefer. It wasnāt exactly the type of nature I had in mindālol! Iād much rather find myself by the beach or wandering through a peaceful forest without too many snakes around!
On my YouTube Channel I'm on a mission to teach one million people how to raise their energy vibration to improve their life, but also to raise the consciousness on the planet, ultimately šhealing the planet from within.š Yah, it's crazy - I know!

Through my website, I offer regular Reiki and energy healing courses for those seeking personal growth and healing. I have a unique skill with this - ask me! - or see the testimonials on my website. šhttps://healingtheplanetfromwithin.com
Some other bits about me:
šI leaned on a water buffalo for a picture in 1996.
šI sat next to and fed a baby elephant in Thailand - when no other foreigner would go near.
š“I have had the privilege of teaching at a teaching ESL English in China (pre-covid), and then taught online ESL Academic English.
šIāve also led laughter yoga sessions at business meetings and team-building events in the Sunshine Coast.
One important lesson Iāve learned over the years is to be mindful of cultural differences.
In some countries, CouchSurfing can be misunderstood and seen as something beyond just a place to stay, so I make sure to only surf where I feel truly safe and welcome.
P.S. The name "Santosha" became part of my journey during my time in India. Itās a beautiful Sanskrit word that embodies the essence of peace and contentment, and I carry its meaning with me every day.
My birth name is Carmen, so feel free to call me that if it's easier for you. š
Oh! I can't believe I have to say this - but "she/her". Short hair for me = spiritual journey.
Airbnb reviews (see pics for more):
August 2018
"Santosha was a lovely guest to host! She was really sweet and talkative and we shared some good conversation. She was very respectful of the house and left it clean and tidy. I would host her anytime." ~Michelle and Nick, Nadi, Fiji
September 2018
"Carmen is my Australian new BFF. She was such great company and she stayed way too short a time. I hope to see her again sometime. Happy to recommend her to any other host, except in Brisbane where she's all mine." ~Michelle, Australia

What I Can Share with Hosts
Iām always deeply grateful when someone is kind enough to host me, and I make sure to show that appreciation through kindness and respect. For me, the most meaningful connections are those where I can truly get to know someoneās heart and soul, and help uplift any parts of their life that feel weighed down by darkness.
What I love to offer is healingāwhether it's past life work, family lineage energy clearing, chakra healing, or guiding someone through getting unstuck from toxic patterns. Ultimately, Iām here to help whatever flows naturally to uplift and support their life in the best way possible.
