Overview
About Me
I love travelling, in real life and thanks to reading and writing which I consider ways of exploring reality without moving faster than the Earth in its orbit.
more than travelling I actually love writing. It's my way to slow down my thoughts and see if there are some trains of thinking I consider worth riding on. I'm very shy about my writing though, but if you get to know me a bit, you'll see me scribbling things on scrap paper or on my pc. I enjoy it just as much as children enjoy bedtime stories.
just as much as writing I enjoy trying to get into a lucid dream: most of the time I fail to! but when I manage to, it's great: especially when I manage to turn a nightmare into a dream, just like I had a magic wand.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think the world would be a better place if people travelled more (trying to be as flightless as possible, though). I try to get to know myself more when I travel. That's why I often travel alone. and that's why at the end of the day I like to share some time with someone else, some one that is from the place I've explored on my own during the day.
Interests
I love any topics about which I can come up with questions! In my next life I'm going to be a journalist: in this life I'm just trying not to be overwhelmed by this huge world!
I have some kind of a nerd interests for insects: they are just like small aliens living among us!
Music, Movies, and Books
oooh. impossible to say. let's say it anyway: books: shantaram, the lord of the rings, the divided self, the catcher in the rye. music:anything I can try to dance or sing or draw. movies: my name is emily, daphne, pride, what about bob, a beautiful mind and then books about plants and trees!!! (not that I know much about them but I like reading about them and I can spend hours in botanical gardens, just wandering around like an elf in a forest!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have explored caves in Italy, with proper equipments, and patient coaches and friends: I'm afraid of heights but I've done it anyway: at the time that made me feel high, liek I could survive anything (a bit like when you are deadly scared on a rollercoaster: you want to get off, but since you can't, you get convinced for a couple of seconds that you are invicible, which of course you aren't!)
Teach, Learn, Share
If you want to learn or practice Italian (French and German at intermediate level) we can drink a chai and try a mixing languages conversation!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Peaceful chatting :-) not so good at cooking unfortunately but I am a tremendously good eater! (does that count as something that can be shared?) I love listening to other people life stories. I can teach how to say hi and thank you in more than 10 languages (I collect foreign words, some are very interesting, I was told that the Dutch word for mushroom is "toad on a stool", knowing this kind of funny things makes me happy!
