Hello everyone! My name is Sara. I am from a tiny town in south Texas called Lyford. I studied Fashion Design at the University of North Texas, about an 8 hour drive North from my home.

I just graduated this Spring (2017) and have been doing a bit of traveling! I love traveling - I grew up taking trips to Mexico and Canada with my family. I traveled to Italy a couple of years ago and won a scholarship to study fashion in Paris this summer. I took the opportunity to travel around France and Spain afterwards. I am getting ready for my first solo trip to South East Asia, before coming back home and applying for jobs!

Seeing the world, meeting new people, and sharing stories is what makes life worth living! I am so fortunate to have grown up with adventurous family who has inspired me continue traveling and always have an open mind! Unfortunately, I only speak English, but I hope to learn a second language (maybe a third), through out my 20's :)

I am currently not hosting, but I hope to move to New York in 2018 and would love to host once I am all settled!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is nice to be able to travel on a budget. I've heard great reviews about couch surfing and I think it is a great way to experience the people and culture of other countries and make new friends.
