About Me

I love meeting new people and learning more about the way they live, their values and the differences in their culture compare to my own. I'm an Aboriginal Australian woman and love sharing my culture with other people. When I travel home to the Kimberley in North Western Australia I spend a lot of my time hunting and fishing with my family (always for food and never for sport). I am friends with many vegans and vegetarians.

I have a large collection of plants at home (indoor plants, fruit trees and succulents). I love being in the bush and surrounded by nature, fishing and going out dancing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to make new friends and have an authentic cultural experience in the places I travel too. I hope to discover interesting and unknown local secrets like the best beaches, beautiful spots in nature and unique local foods you can't eat anywhere else.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually listen to whatever music is playing as long as it makes me feel like dancing. Romantic comedies are my favourite movies but i love all of the marvel and DC ones as well. Lately I seem to be ready alot of self help books (just recently finished reading about psychopaths and the way their minds work), but I want to read more fantasy/fairytales.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in highschool I traveled to Canada with my family to canoe down the native hunting travels of the Cree Indians in Quebec. I accidentally went over a small waterfall and capsized our canoe but hey.... it makes for a great story.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you how to cook, how to cast a fishing line and about Australia's Aboriginal history.
Learn: I would love to learn some words in your language, listen to your life story and how to cook your favorite local meal.
Share: Friendship, stories, experiences and infectious energy
