About Me

Hi there!

I'm a young Aussie travelling around the States. Although I'm often described as an 'old soul'.

I enjoy:
- Visiting art galleries
- Exploring natural wonders
- Having a boog (I'm notorious for starting the d-floor at any barren bar)
- Engaging in intellectual conversations
- Playing board games
- Meeting kind, quirky and humanity-reaffirming people
- Eating anything with mushrooms

Described as bubbly, witty and easy going, I'm insatiably curious and independent. I have travelled solo before and lived in NYC for 6 months.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to feel a city is to meet its people - and have authentic, local experiences.

I'm known to spark up conversations with strangers. So Couchsurfing seems like the perfect marriage. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

David Bowie, Julia Jacklin, Lou Reed, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Noname, Tom Misch, Mazzy Star, Fleetwood Mac, Cake, George Harrison, Talking Heads (!!) (I fucking love music.)

The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Handmaid's Tale, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine... also love lots of non-fiction that gets my mind churning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived and volunteered in a rural village in Jogyakarta, Indonesia for 4 weeks. We worked with an NGO to support and help promote social inclusion for the local believers — a marginalised group of people.

I've also...
- Jumped out of a plane
- Hiked Mt Kinabalu (the tallest mountain in South East Asia)
- Volunteered on a farm in the Fijian highlands
- Climbed on stage to dance with the live band at a big club in Jogja (I was dared and deathly sober)

Teach, Learn, Share

Aussie slang. How to ride a kangaroo. How to converse with koalas. Wisdom on why you should definitely not try that second sentence.

(I'd love to learn any languages too!)
