In 2018 I took a career break/sabbatical. I started the trip in South East Asia (to learn yoga) in August 2018, then went to Europe for 9 months. I returned to Australia sneaking in a trip to Myanmar. Before heading to the USA, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala then Colombia. With COVID I ended up back in Australia 🇦🇺.

HOST: to offer back to the CS after travelling the world and meet interesting people.
GUEST: To have a more local experience of the area I’m travelling through! I do it already with the friends I stay with so this is a broader extension and a way to meet more people in life.

Hiked in a do not travel zone in the mountains in Myanmar with booms and gunfire echoing through the tranquility.

Crazy for me: Left my corporate job in Sydney, sold my furniture and finally took up offers to live with friends in Sweden and Norway! (+10 years at the same company) and continuing to travel until COVID ended it.

Share: cooking and food knowledge and learn local cooking. Oh I studied Agricultural Economics and I’ve almost finished my MBA studies (yep while travelling). I grew up on a farm but also very at home in big cities.

Short answer: good conversation, someone to hang out with.
Long answer: I’m a happy chatty/bubbly person who loves learning from different perspectives and discovering new things. I’m quite open minded and have travelled to 45 countries. I have lots of varied interests but can generally chat with anyone. I don’t mind quiet time either (you might find this hard to believe when you first meet me!!) and love reading.
