About Me

I'm a very cheerful girl who loves seeing new places and meeting new people! Every time I'm visiting somewhere I enjoy wandering and just getting lost, anything feels like the beginning of an adventure.

My hobbies are mostly reading (I absolutely love French literature , especially books from the latter part of the 20th century!), visiting places and learning languages. I also play ultimate frisbee but I really suck a it.
This might make me sound like a really quiet person but I'll never say no to a good party and I'm pretty much open to everything!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It sounds like a thrilling and adventurous way to travel on a budget and meet great people. If I feel tired I can basically sleep anywhere so couches are my friends... and being introduced by a local is definitely the best way to know a place!

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately I really enjoy listening to jazz! I don't watch many movie but my favorite ones are probably "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" and "Requiem for a dream".
As for books... "the Age of Reason" by Jean-Paul Sartre is a must for me (and I love all the other books he's written as well). I am also very attached to "the Little Prince", I love science-fiction even though I don't read much of it and especially dystopian novels (I like "the Perfect Day" by Ira Levin and "We" by Eugene Zamiatine the best!).
There's much left to say but I'll leave things here!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably learning Japanese mostly on my own for a few years and reaching the level where I can read a novel without using a dictionary!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a bit of French (I absolutely love my language and I love sharing it with others), and generally enjoy engaging in deep discussions which are definitely one of my favorite ways of sharing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Talk about my two countries (I'm Portuguese and fell in love with Portugal as a teenager, but I've always lived in Belgium), and talk about anything basically... Maybe I can make crepes too but I can't guarantee anything.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Japan, Portugal, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium, Taiwan
