Overview
About Me
I am a student, currently living in Milan but born in the deep and warm Italian south, in the city of Matera.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel the world, although not much as a tourist with my friends: I prefer to leave alone, to participate in courses and events because it's much easier in this way to meet people, to hear their stories, to make new friends all over the world. When you travel to see a particular city you discover a lot, undoubtedly, you learn a lot from the place you're visiting. But more, much more can be learned talking with people, discovering a culture instead of only limiting yourself to see monuments. Everyone has a lot to say, and I want to listen and share my experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I played the piano for 11 years before going to University. Therefore I'm really passionate about classical music but, on the other hand, also love rock music with all my heart. Alternative, classic rock, progressive, most of the existing types of rock music. I deeply love reading and, although it's difficult to choose, my favorite authors are Baudelaire, Hikmet, and Dostoevskij. As for tv shows (which I deem to be the 21st-century version of novels) Doctor Who and Lost remain the best one I've ever seen. I also love Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Fringe, and so on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was on my way to Romania and, when we finally arrived (after 12 hours of bus) to the border with Austria... they asked us for our ID cards, and I noticed that I had left mine at home. I gave them my health insurance card, three supermarket cards, bus tickets, panicking while searching any type of identity document. Miraculously, the agent entitled to controls that day was a close friend of our Romanian organizer, and he let me enter... specifying however that I needed to have an ID card to come back home. My family sent me the ID card but it did not arrive on time. My group left and moved to Poland, while I remained in Romania, waiting for my document, hosted by the bishop of Oradea. He then gave me a ride to Krakow, where we had to participate in the World Youth Day. Moral of the story: my supermarket loyalty card is not as necessary abroad as I thought.
