About Me
Hi, I'm Sara, a globetrotting storyteller whose adventures have shaped both my life and my work.
With a degree in journalism, I specialized in capturing the essence of people through audio portraits, but when the call of the unknown got too loud, I ditched my journalist career to go work on a sailboat for one year, navigating the high seas of French Polynesia, and I will soon join an expedition ship and do epic shit.
Before turning to the sea, my travels has taken me to six out of seven continents, where I've climbed mountains, immersed myself in diverse cultures, forged deep connections, and delved into the heart of humanity. As an adventurer, I find allure in the unfamiliar. Whether swimming with sharks, scrambling through Tarzan-esque jungles, or battling a clogged marine toilet, I embrace challenges with curiosity and courage.
Beyond job titles, I define myself by my bold spirit. I'm the type of person who hops into cars with strangers, sleeps on floors, and believes in the best in people. With a big heart and a love for the outdoors, I seek to feel outrageously alive and continually expand my mind.
PS. I'm cleanly and respectful.
OBS. Please do not message me or accept my hosting request if you're looking to hook up. There are plenty of dating sites for you to do that, CS is not one. I want to build friendships and learn about you and your culture, that's it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I love it
Interests
I consider myself an intercreative; I love to create - whether that be in writing, audio or video. I love reading books. I love to go on walks without a destination, but simply following my curiosity. I enjoy connecting with people and peeling off the first few layers, so we get down to the real stuff. I'm an avid hiker and love everything outdoors!

Music, Movies, and Books
There are too many books to sum up here - but the first thing I do whenever I enter someone's home is to check out their bookshelf.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled the world for 17 months nonstop, lived on a sailboat for one year, won an award for a radio documentary. But the most amazing thing I continually do is being unapologetically myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share many batshit travel tales from my adventures around the world. I'd love to learn what made you, you. We can share a moment of connection and maybe a nice meal.
