About Me

*do not message me with intentions of me staying there just because I’m a young girl alone. This isn’t tinder. Go on a dating site*

Traveling Europe for a month with my best friend. Living by the idea that seeing a place once is worth more than hearing about it a thousand times.

I was born in Colombia, moved to the states, moved inside the states and now here we are! 3rd year International Affairs student at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida #gonoles

I don’t have references because I don’t get to travel as often as I would like to! But I’m excited to start using couch surfing and meeting new adventurous souls.

My best friend, Andrea Hornero, is a 20 year old girl from Nicaragua/Spain/USA! She’s very easy going, similar to me in personality, and respectful. She’s studying Entrepreneurship.

Traveling, learning new cultures and enriching my brain through experiences is addicting and I’m sure if you are on here you perfectly understand where I’m coming from. Some say I’m funny, I say I’m definitely clumsy, but overall I’m very easy going, happy to explore, and low maintenance.

We are here because we are not as interested in the hotel life as we are in meeting people and living a little more locally for a few days.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The only two big trips I’ve done by myself were volunteering trips were I stayed with locals and engaged/interacted/learned and explored The Philippines and Peru alongside locals and learning from their history, cultures and languages. Staying at a hotel might be luxurious, but that’s not what I’m traveling for. Couch surfing is a the best way to get a taste of the culture and immerse ourselves into a life of just taking in things and learning a couple days at a time

Interests

Too many. Obsessed with changing the world I would say. I’m always reading books on anything that stirs something within me. Latest interest: North Korea. Can’t get enough of it and want to do something about it. Other than that, playing with my puppy. Traveling of course. Reading! Eating! Hiking!

Music, Movies, and Books

Spanish music, scary films, all things history
Recently very intrigued by the situation that North Korean’s face everyday. Been researching on ways to get involved:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba dived down to see Japanese World War II ships in the Philippines while on a volunteering trip to teach English to little kids with amazing backpackers I met. Doesn’t get better than that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Reading through couch surfers profiles trying to find some cool hosts to stay with I stumbled upon a quote which says the best part of traveling is becoming a local for a few days and I do believe it embodies both couch surfing and the beauty of traveling in a raw and really powerful way.

Also, an important idea to live by:

Find happiness in the extraordinary, in the mundane and in the chaos. Your perspective will change.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Endless conversations and laughs! I love meeting people, love talking, love learning, making friends, sharing experiences, showing pictures, and a couple drinks won’t kill anyone. Let’s keep in touch through social media after too! I still talk to most of my backpacking friends I’ve made in the past year since I began traveling every now and again! If time allows for hosts to build closer relationships with us, we’d be thrilled to hang out and take tours or have lunch/dinner/drinks/walks ANYTHING! Two very spontaneous, happy and exited girlies here
