About Me

Hi! I'm Sara, I'm 27 years old and I'm from Rome... After the University in Rome, I've lived in Albania for two years and I had the occasion to discover the beautiful Balkans.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I like to see new places and meeting the local people, to experience a different kind of traveling, based on the pleasure to know new people and habits, in Italy as well as abroad.

Interests

I like travelling, discovering new places, meeting new people from different cultures, walking in a place that i don't know (getting lost of course), speaking with people in different languages, and don't knowing the reason, realizing that you understand each other perfectly (like that time of 1 hour wonderful speaking of me in italian - roman dialect - and the other sweet old guy in bulgarian), coming back at home and sharing with my friends our mutual experiences. Among my interests, there is certainly, philosophy, the reason that is carring me to Torino, to begin a new challange in this crazy field.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are plenty of different music, movies and books.

What I like more are the new arrangements between old/traditional music and the most modern ones (I'm thinking at the sounds of the Gogol Bordello for instance or Shantel). Generally, I'm fascinated by the balkan music.

Three of the most beautiful books: "Crime and Punishment" - Dostoevsky; "The Bridge on the Drina" - Andric; "Venuto al Mondo" - Mazzantini.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

uhm.. well.. one amazing thing I've Done... I would say the animation camps with the Roma children in Albania.. Songs, games, pure caos everywhere, but it has been something that has been really meaningful. A different way of having fun, building unexpected relationships.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would not know... Thoughts, time together, story telling, cat-dog-baby sitting, plants caring etc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
