About Me
Good hearted woman in love with a good timin' man. Oh wait-wrong platform. Haha
In all seriousness I'm a really warm person who has a heart for doing good to and for others. But I'm no doormat and have deep convictions. A desire of my heart is to live a life where I helped to make someone's world better for having known me.
CS will hopefully allow for that and return the favor by sharing with me the lives and experiences of others I probably wouldn't have met elsewhere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If I can be of service to someone on a leg of their journey it would be nice to help. All of these good experiences are inspiring me to want to be a surfer. :)
Interests
Cooking, crocheting, light sports, board games, and good conversations.
Music, Movies, and Books
Of course, Dirty Dancing. My favorite documentary is I Am Alive but Bully (formerly The Bully Project) is one that can't go unrecognized as beyond outstanding. I'm a fan of most music but prefer country and Christian. And I like books that inspire people.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Created an event from the ground up to share about issues concerning victims of sexual assault. Only 36 people attended but it was, and will always be, one of the proudest days of my life.
On a lighter note-my boldness has been the reason for many great stories where people are like, "No, she didn't." I'm glad to share but as a details person it would take up too much space on here. Haha
What I Can Share with Hosts
As yet I've only been a host. As such I want guests to feel safe, comfortable, welcome, entertained, and refreshed.
When I get to make my own CS experiences my host(s) will be able to expect everything I give to others and an added sense of gratitude for having accepted me into their home. I'm a "gifts and service" person (as discussed in the book The 5 Love Languages). Those traits are often present in my dynamic.
