I'm 32 and I teach English and social sciences at a grammar school. I enjoy good food (and aerobic courses to be able to enjoy even more good food ;) ), a good laugh and the company of interesting and relaxed people. As soon as I have the time and money, you'll find me everywhere, but not at home.

I recently completed my Open Water Diver and enjoyed amazing summer holidays in Singapore and Indonesia where I made use of my new diving skills.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The way of traveling I grew up with is being packed like sardines in a Turkish or Spanish hotel with bald, big-bellied tourists who wear socks in their sandals. The food (full pension, of course) didn't have anything in common with local specialties.

I had to become 29 to realize that this is not the way of traveling I want for myself. Instead, I want to see as many places as possible from the perspective of locals. I want to eat what you eat, spend time at the places where you meet your friends Saturday night and if I find new friends that way - even better :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving at the Great Barrier Reef last summer - I can still vividly see the colourful fish, turtles, sharks and huge shells in my mind's eye.
