About Me
Hi guys!
We, Sara (27 years old) and Magnus (28 years old), are a Danish couple currently traveling South America. We like visiting cities and exploring their different neighborhoods as well as meeting locals. Every now and then we will go explore beautiful nature and wildlife or go to the beach for a swim and perhaps even a drink.
MAGNUS
I am an active person who is very outgoing. I love cooking and experimenting with food as well as trying new local dishes I’ve never heard of.
I have been doing gymnastics for the majority of my life which has taken me on many different journeys, including being an artist in a traveling circus!
I also like winter sports, playing disc golf and just being outdoors, whether it’s in a national park or a cool street around the corner.
SARA
When I am not traveling, you can find me in my favorite neighborhood (Nørrebro) in Copenhagen exploring the city, going to second hand stores, or hanging out with my friends.
Whilst Magnus likes to cook, I love growing my own food and for a couple of years I had my own garden.
When I am visiting a country, I am very curious about what everyday life looks like.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing fits well with our way of traveling! We prefer taking it slow and getting to know each place we visit rather than checking off a list of sights and countries.
Meeting locals is a way for us to learn things that are not written in guidebooks and we always hope to make new friends along the road :)
We are looking forward to meet you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In July 2024, we travelled to Brazil on a one-way ticket with no plans but to travel for the rest of the year
Teach, Learn, Share
We can introduce you to the Danish language if you dare - it is said that it’s one of the most difficult languages in the world. Magnus can teach you some gymnastics if you are up for it!
If you have anything that you could teach us, we are very open to learning new skills, facts or languages. We are currently both trying to improve our Spanish.
We would love to share good stories and a great meal, perhaps a beer or a drink (Sara has been known to whip up some good cocktails). And we would love it if you wanted to share with us what your favorite spots in your city is, whether that being a park, plaza, restaurant, bar etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We are up for hanging out - watching movies, exploring, cooking, trying new things! We would be incredible thankful for our host showing trust and interest in us, and we would of course be respectful of you and your home and adapt to your schedule.
We have little but positive couchsurfing experience and hope to meet more couchsurfers in 2024! When we are back in Denmark, we are also able to host if you find yourself in Copenhagen one day
