About Me
Hmm I often find it hard to write these “About Me”s because I feel like I come across a lot better in person than in words. And also I just have trouble describing myself and it can feel a bit pompous, you know?
I am an American living in Edinburgh. I’ve also lived in France and Australia. In the US I grew up in Wisconsin but have been working seasonally the last 5 summers at a summer camp in northern Washington State, north of Seattle, on a tiny island. It’s the coolest place ever and if you ask be prepared for me to talk a lot about it!! Sorry.
I probably can’t host you but I would love to meet up in Edinburgh! My boyfriend is more of a private person so I don’t think he would be into inviting people we haven’t met to stay…. BUT i would love to get to know you first and if we get along then you’re a friend, and friends are always welcome to stay ☺️ Honestly making friends as an adult can be difficult and I sometimes struggle to relate to people since I’ve been moving around so much the last few years. I think this is one place where there’s lots of travelers who do the same so I’m hoping to meet cool like-minded people on here… people who like to learn, travel, and experience. I don’t just like to sit in bars and restaurants and coffee shops. Although those are nice at times, I also need to have an adventure - go watch the sunset, have a picnic, take a hike, a road trip, yoga at the beach, cook a meal together, go skiing, go see live music, look for wildlife, drive through the mountains, appreciate the land and the world and the beautiful colors of the sky. I think it’s really important to stay playful and curious even as we get older. And to stay present and appreciate every moment!
So that’s a bit about me I guess… if you feel like we’d be friends please message me ☺️

Music, Movies, and Books
Electronic music, nonfiction books (occasionally fiction but it has to be good!), and documentaries, kids movies too 💖
One good book I read recently was Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Yoga teacher training in India was life changing.
My boyfriend and I recently did a workaway in France and it was a really special experience!
Oh and also, I moved in with my boyfriend, who I met at a hostel in Greece, spent a week with, then didn't see for a year until I moved in with him in Australia! (We're still together :D )
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you yoga, French, English, and paddling (Canoe, Kayak, SUP). And I think i have some good travel tips.
I’m learning guitar - once i did a yoga/guitar exchange on CS and that was super cool.
Happy to be a companion in running, cycling, hiking, climbing, skiing, any outdoor activity really! Also love cooking meals with and for others.
