As someone who has moved to and lived in 5 cities over 6 years, I feel I understand the importance connections and new relationships can make, and how much a difference being welcomed by others who know the ropes can be. Having moved so frequently, and after realizing this for myself in the position of being the "new girl" in town, I started being aware of the newer "new girl". I didn't realize how much fun I would have and how many people I would meet simply by putting myself out there and extending open invitations for people to join a group activity.
