Overview
About Me
Hey! My name is Sara. I'm Mexican-American from New Orleans, Lousiana. I've been living in Tokyo for a little over four years. I came here as a student and loved the city so much that I stayed to work after graduation.
I can speak native level English and Spanish and elementary level Japanese and Korean. For everything else I smile and nod.
I can't really think of anything else to say, so message me if you have questions (^^)/
PHILOSOPHY
"To awaken alone in a strange town is one of the pleasantest sensations in the world.” – Freya Stark
“This world is but a canvas to our imagination.”- Henry David Thoreau
"Travel light, live light, spread the light, be the light."- Yogi Bhajan
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people. My goal is life to have one (or more) really good friend in every country in the world. I know it'll take a while to achieve my dream but it only means I have to keep traveling!
Interests
I love painting, pottery, dancing, Yoga, karaoke, and wine.
I'm also very big into pen paling and organizing big meet ups.
I love it when I get to make people smile or laugh...it's really one of the best feelings in the world except playing with puppies and that one feeling you get when you go upside down on a roller coaster.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got my pilots license through CPC a while back so I can fly a Cessna 150...though I haven't renewed it so...
Teach, Learn, Share
If you need any help getting around Tokyo I can take you around if I have time. I can show you some of the really touristy spots and shuffle you into some of the more local areas. I'm especially into punk/hardcore shows so I can take you to some of my favorite venues. Also, some of my favorite galleries.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you Spanish and share crazy stories with you. I also know my way around some of the less known parts of Tokyo so I can take you with me on adventures. Also, I'd like to think I have mad cooking skills...so allow me to cook you a meal!
