About Me

I currently live in Austin, TX where I work as an an Animator and editor creating everything from educational videos, to music videos, and stop-motion short films. I spend my free time reading, biking, dancing, going to art events and collaborating with other artists. I've been involved in the tech art community and contribute to an arts journal with my friends. I very much love art as a multidisplinary practice and mode of being with others!

I want to travel to meet people and learn and explore through unique experiences. I love to hear stories and discuss different perspectives, around culture, philosophy and art.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hoping to travel more and meet people, experience different cities, ideas, and give back to the community with hosting and doing what I can for my hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of alternative, indie, punk, ambient as well as a little bit of R&B, deconstructed club, and weird electronic projects. I started in indie rock and punk and grew into other music genres basically! But I love stuff you can dance, mosh, or sing to! I'll be in portugal this summer for Primevera sound and I'm really excited for gorillaz, pavement, and interpol because they've been longtime favorites. But 100 gecs, little simz, carolina polachek, and black midi are must sees.

Some fave movies are Mandy and John Water's Crybaby. I love absurdist or campy humor. I also have watched princess bride an absurd amount of times. Animation is big too, I tend to be drawn more towards animated short films or tv, but I love Miyazaki.

As for books I've been alternating between sci-fi, poetry, and art theory, The Mandarins by Simone de-beauvoir has stuck with me and I just finished the Joys and Sorrows of Work by Alain de Bottom. I've been working on getting through the Poetics of Space and Pessoa's Book of disquiet for the last year or so.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stood within a foot to a ~300,000 year old skull of our human ancestor, homo naledi, to document it in video before the public exhibition opened in the US at the Dallas natural history museum

Organized an "Bad" art collective show with an philosophy of open creation, exploration and collaboration sort of themed around lo-fi art, glitch, and vaporwave
