About Me

Hi, I'm Sara, 29 years old from Savona Italy.
Currently in a gap period (July 16-Feb17), travelling from North to South America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1) It's an amazing way to deep dive in the local culture while meeting inspiring people 2) In a society of consumism, it's very nice to give -and get- in an uninterested way 3) while travelling alone it is nice to share the beauty of experiences with a new friend

Interests

A lot of interests, which are also continuosly growing in number:) I recently started to be interested in Sustainable Economy and related topics, since I see too much nonsense in the society/politics (and I am somehow a dreamer...). I'd also like to volounteer during my current gap period, and I just started with some Workaway.info projects. More in general: cultural exchanges, travelling, dancing, partying, sports (skiing, running, badminton...a bit of volleyball, hiking, kayaking), art - I love to go to art galleries - nature and activities in contact with nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: electronic music, latin music and much more (last concerts I attended: Steve Aoki, The Chainsmokers, Paul Kalkbrenner, Deadmau5, Moderat, Animal Collective,...)
Books: Thinking Fast and Slow (in progress), Confessions of an Economic Hitman (in progress), le Peutit Prince, ...I love books, libraries and book shops in general, I could spend hours in a book shop, I should also read more:)
Movies: Dead poets society, Into the Wild, Il meraviglioso mondo di Amelie, Nous trois ou rien...when I was a child I used to watch with my dad "Far West movies" featuring John Wayne, Gary Cooper exc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

4 months ago I asked my boss for a 9 months "leave from work", and he actually agreed:)

Teach, Learn, Share

Open to teach, learn and share as much as possible in every situation and with every person I meet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My friendship and of course a place to stay in Italy:) Help in the house, my company and help to organize something (indoor- e.g. a dinner or outdoor-e .g. a hiking or roadtrip), some stories from Europe:)

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
