Overview
About Me
The first thing people tend to notice about me is my smile; I'm known as "Sara Smiles" in my hometown of Boulder, CO. I am on a path to figure out how to live ordinarily in a world of people striving for the extraordinary, a world where people are always searching for the next best thing. I endeavor to better myself by looking within and learning to find acceptance with what is.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'll be based in South America, mainly Ecuador, until the first week of June 2019. I would love to meet the locals and have an experience much deeper than your typical tourist's perspective staying only in hostel, etc. I am so grateful that a resource like Couchsurfing is available because it's such a wonderful way to meet people you wouldn't otherwise and dive more deeply into what life is really like day-to-day in another country.
Interests
My best day ever includes a meditation sit and asana yoga practice, followed by a good cup of coffee, a book of poetry, and my journal, set against somewhere beautiful (and preferably warm and sunny!)

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm probably listening to City Girl or Coeur de Pirate. My kindle is stocked with all kinds of literature on Tibetan Buddhism, Osho, and plenty of Rumi poems. I'm not big on movies but I do enjoy watching stand-up comedy or anything silly and ridiculous!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I live in and travel around by way of my car (named Wiscarsin) in the US.
Teach, Learn, Share
I live simply, openly, and mindfully, and work to cultivate a warm, inviting energy and a presence free of judgement and full of love. If you're curious about living a minimalist lifestyle I'm happy to share what I know from my years of experience.
Let's meditate together! I have a daily meditation practice, and have also been practicing yoga for about a decade. If there's anything I've learned it's that it is such a treasure to share the practice!
I would love to learn a new language(s), especially Italian or Spanish, and share the English language with you.
You will always find me on an adventure, as I believe that even the most mundane things in life are an opportunity for adventure and have something to teach us. I am a nomad at heart and am always looking for others to travel with 🌋
What I Can Share with Hosts
I very much enjoy doing chores, cleaning, running errands, and the like, and would be thrilled to be able to help out around your home in exchange for a comfortable place to rest my head.
