About Me
I'm a 38 year old queer tortoise..as in, it took me this long to figure out what I want to do with my life! (At least the next thing) fyi - I do not look like a tortoise ;)
I do look like a cute, young, butch (sometimes people think transman) queer/lesbian. Not that looks matter - I'm not here to pick anyone up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently applying to massage school in Lakewood, CO. And I'm planning to visit ahead of time. It would be awesome if I could stay with someone who knows the area!
Also - I want to try out couch surfing so I can use it in future travels! It's a great idea!
Interests
knitting, flameworking, reading, drumming, singing, dancing, deep convos - I love to talk about personal growth, life paths, and how we got/get to where we are., making music, movies, 420 on occasion, animals, theater (appreciator), a capella groups, sweets (working to change that, though :/ ) finding people who like to get together to do stuff! Especially stuff I don't normally find fun on my own...like cooking (so much better when helping & learning from each other!)

Music, Movies, and Books
that's always hard for me - I like many kinds of music. But I guess the music I go to most often is pop/dance/soul and I usually melt to anything with haunting piano melodies and/or fat harmonies. I grew up in marching band & drum corps, so I'm bit of a music geek. (strangely I'm more of a geek with a capella groups - and I was never in choir...But someday... :D
I also, strangely never seem to get to researching new music, so I always enjoy people sharing their favorites. it's more fun that way anyway :)
Movies/tv - usually fantasy/post apocalyptic, smart funny, dark, Joss Whedon, Hayao Miyazaki, etc
Books - Also into fantasy and short book series. currently my favorite is The Golden Compass Trilogy (or otherwise named Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials. If you've read this trilogy, I'd love to talk! Also would love to get recommendations on other books/series to read.
I also really enjoy self help/growth books. and yes, that's funny to me lol
