About Me
Hi there!
My name is Sara, I'm currently 23 y.o. and I am a Med student.
I'm outgoing and very helpful, I enjoy traveling and getting to know the culture of different countries.
Right now I'm doing Erasmus in Warsaw (hence why I'm not accepting hosts, as I am in a very strict dorm, and not in my house in Coimbra), and luckily for me is very cheap to travel from Poland to pretty much anywhere! So far I've only been to Warsaw, Wroclaw, Groningen, Amsterdam, London, Spain and Lithuania.
BUT... my goal is to reach 50 cities in the next 6 months.
With the cheap allowances that students get, Couchsurfing will definitively be my thing for the next months, and I will be quite happy to welcome you into my home when I'm back in Portugal.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing because it allows me to meet new places and also new people, mix in with the locals and exchange cultures, and also to get their experience and what's worth seeing at the city I'm visiting all with the pro of being cheap :P
And vice-versa, it would be delightful to show Coimbra to someone wanting to visit =)
Interests
My interests range from cooking (and more cooking! Did I already mention I love cooking and I'm willing to cook you a Portuguese meal? :D ), reading, traveling, exploring cities by foot and museums, visiting old shops or pubs invisible to most eyes, listening to music, and chatting =)
I love a good talk, so if you're stuck with me, feel free to start a good dialogue! I hope I can keep up to it :D

Music, Movies, and Books
I've quite an eclectic music taste, ranging from classical music, rock and pop. I can say i avoid grunge :P
Movies: then again, I can go from cult movies, to the most sappy romantic movies or comedies, or simply watch a good documentary ( I can go nerdy sometimes!) Oh and I'm fanatic for animation movies :D (gotta keep the kid inside me alive)
Right now my watchlist has 158 movies to watch, an some examples are: Gettysburg, Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare, the lady in the van, Finding Dora, etc.
Books: since I was a kid I love reading. Total Harry Potter geek (you can add me on Pottermore :P), David Lodge books, Jane Austen, Pepetela, Peter Pan, Neil Gaiman, The book thief, Hillary Mantel, etc etc etc
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh wow, this one is HARD. I guess I'm quite normal, or at least I see what I do as somewhat normal.
I have to say Erasmus is being an amazing experience, and I'm proud for having the guts to travel through Lithuania by myself =) hmm... more? I'm trying to volunteer as a med student in Timor or Mozambique in 1.5 years! Wish me luck!
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I can try to pass along some of my humble medical knowledge, I guess! And of course, some Portuguese basics!
I would also like to learn some basic words in your language and to hear about local traditions and way of life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can for sure share some cooking tips and cook them some typical meals! Also some Portuguese (which is a really hard languase, I must say) and give some insight on Portugal if you're thinking on traveling there!
I love a good talk, so I hope that can also interest you!
