About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Create a new life & enjoy it!!!
ABOUT ME
I was born in Italy, on the Adriatic Coast. My father is Italian, my mother Argentinian and as a child we never stopped for more than five years in a single place. So I am used to enjoy every place as if I weren't to stay, always having my suitcases ready for the next departure.. and usually get bored if I don't change my home location every 3 years. That was until I got to Barcelona. It's really difficult to leave this city! I have lived in Florence some years and in Berlin as well, and I loved them both, but Barcelona enchanted me! I moved to a small town near the see 20' far from Barcelona a couple of years ago, to enjoy the see and to set a place on my own... and conceal my suitcases for a while:) You are welcome to come visit!!
PHILOSOPHY
mhh. Impossible to fit my personal philosophy in this square.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a very demanding job, and travel oft for the company I work for. That is why I can't assure available couch always... simply because I am not always at home.
But I am available to hang out in Barcelona, as I work there, so I am there almost every day. You are also welcome to visit me if you spend the day on the beach in Montgat, particularly in summer, or if you love surfing, also in winter :) I am not a good surfer, but would be pleased to join you if you come to Montgat with that purpose on a perfect-waves day!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new in this... A good friend of mine talked me about this and took me to a couchsurfers meeting in Barcelona... I will give it a try!
Interests
I am a designer: love visual arts, design, architecture, painting, sculpture, photography. I constantly visit exhibitions and keep a blog you can check out on tumblr: vieni a tuffarti in me, come nel mare. http://vieniatuffartiinme.tumblr.com/ - You can also check out my photographs here: http://sarabevilacqua.altervista.org/Sara_Bevilacqua_-_Photography.html
I am also in love with cultural anthropology, and hope my work will allow me to go back to university and start studying again soon.
I am very well informed about live music shows in small bars in Barcelona, specially jazz and bossa nova shows. So if you are keen to, just let me know and I can suggest some good places that are worth a visit, and join you there if I am in town! :)
Last but not least, I volunteer for Amnesty International, in the group of Barcelona. So Human Rights are one of my most important concerns.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just one important thing for visitors: you must know I am in love with João Gilberto since I am 8 years old. He wakes me up every morning singing from my stereo, and brings me coffee in bed :P so if you don't like him, you won't probably enjoy to overnight at my place. :)
Seriously: I go nuts for bossa nova - also love jazz, and particularly balcanic and middle-eastern music.
Too many books and movies to quote them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really enjoy learning new languages and practicing the ones I know. I am also learning to play classical guitar, so if you can teach me anything, you are most welcome!
As authentic Italian, of course I love eating, as well as learning about other food cultures, so if you enjoy cooking, we can learn a lot from each other :)
Concerning surfing, from october to may we have sporadical small waves here, but I just have one board. 5mm neoprene wetsuit needed from november until march.
