About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I honestly just want to see some wild killer whales and hang out with cool people in the meantime.

ABOUT ME

I like meeting new people. I like to meet ambitious and independent people with a real passion for at least one thing in life. I like to see people light up when they talk about that subject. :-)

PHILOSOPHY

"God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh." - Voltaire

That sums it up nicely.

Interests

Killer whales, Learning and volunteering at various non-profits in my area, couchsurfing, WWOOFing, rollerblading with my foster dog, roller coasters, ghost hunting, eating mashed potatoes, urban exploration, hiking, canoeing, napping, learning the wrong way to cook, board games (Catan), video gaming, riding on boats, occasionally all of the above with a brew in hand...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Free Willy, V for Vendetta, The Cell, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Disney movies.
Books: Dan Brown novels, Anne Rice, Eckhart Tolle, THE Harry Potter books, The Intention Experiment, Wicked, Alice in Wonderland, whale books.
Music: Goo Goo Dolls, I like Jonny Craig's voice even though he's a d-bag to fans, Electronica, (anything but stuff with screaming really.)
TV shows: Arrested Development, South Park, The Office, Supernatural, Lie to Me, GhostHunters

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Anytime some is really nice in some form of way, honestly. Even if it's just eye contact and a genuine smile. And anytime I see a killer whale in person, their massive size always overwhelms me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty good with a microwave...but I also professionally train animals- I am working on getting my license to train therapy dogs soon. I volunteer for a wolf sanctuary, a horse rescue, and for Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute doing dolphin research surveys and helping stranded marine mammals.

I was a lifeguard for over 2 years as a SeaWorld College Experience Intern. I am currently CPR/AED and First Aid certified by the American Red Cross. Chicks dig chicks that save lives.

I am a beginner "Florida" gardener. Earlier this year, my roommate and I dug up our first garden and we are learning about proper pH balancing and fun stuff like which bugs like what plants. ;-)
Excited to learn more!
