About Me

CURRENT MISSION

explore the world, share the world, LOVE the world

ABOUT ME

I'm looking to explore the world with like-minded, positive people. I enjoy sharing culture, music, food, and good conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal mottos are:
- If your life was a book, would anyone want to read it?
- "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people, and while I cannot currently provide a bed, I'm happy to meet up for a drink and to explore the city together.

Interests

I live for music, I go to lots of theatre, I enjoy simply walking through a city and enjoying its good food and architecture.

Music, Movies, and Books

As mentioned above, music is my life. I work at a music magazine and also as a band promoter where I live, and I love going to see bands live. I listen to a lot of indie rock, acoustic music, and electronica. My favourite movie is Rocky Horror Picture Show (if you haven't seen this in theatres, it's a must!). My favourite books include "We Need To Talk About Kevin" by Lionel Shriver, "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger, and "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Vietnam, I drank a shot with vodka, snake blood, and a fresh snake heart in it. This was a very unique experience (especially since I am a vegetarian!).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my experience with photography, writing, travelling, and music, and of course love helping someone who wants to learn English. I would love to learn more about different cultures and places that people have travelled. I also always want to learn local languages as much as possible.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, Ecuador, France, Indonesia, Jamaica, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Singapore, United States
