I am going to New York to work in Film, mainly as an actress

ABOUT ME

I am a film animal, love anything inside this magic world.
I am going to New York to get involved in film projects, independent or not, the most important thing to me is creativity, imagination, hard work...
I want to participate as an actress in as many film projects I can during my staying in the big apple.

During my trip I will be making an audiovisual diary, 10 or 15 minutes episodes that I will upload in Vimeo and publish on my website (sarafischel.com- not ready yet, it will be when the short films are done). The idea is to make short film episodes about my "adventures in New York": getting involved in the cinema world here, my pursue as an actress and the sharing with the people I meet, who are they? what are they doing in NY?, get to know them, and specially bring out their special virtues like benevolence, tolerance, joy, etc. So, I hope the people that host me aren't too shy cause I will be filming my staying at your place, of course I won't intrude into your intimacy. A filmmaker must always respect the other person and maintain and ethic attitude toward them. So, if you would like to host me and most importantly be open to share a little of your life with me and my camera... it will be great.

As for me, well..

I see myself as a simple person in the external necessities. I think it is important to learn to tolerate all environments... not easy sometimes but it's a goal. Equilibrium is inside oneself not outside.
I am eager to meet new people, listen to their stories and travel a little in NY, maybe to a coffee house or the park or a club... I really want to have a personal vision of New York. I've seen it so many times in different movies, series through the eyes of different and very talented directors. Now I want to see it through my own eyes, and I suspect I'll love it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend of mine, told me about it, when I told her I was going to NY with low budget and didn't had a place to stay. She herself is traveling to Europe and tells me she's getting in touch with great people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first experience with Couch Surfing.
Until now, It has been wonderful because I am making a lot of new friends even before arriving. I think the possibility of searching for groups is a great help to find one's own space. I already found some Film and Acting groups in CS, and this will allow me to locate myself better in town, go to the right places to find what I am looking for. Of course, it is always great to be full of surprises.
