About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want my life to never stop being an adventure

ABOUT ME

Like everyone here, travel is the true love of my life, as is the environment and music.

PHILOSOPHY

"The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."
- Chris McCandless

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm keen to host any fellow travellers and am also keen for some couch surfing myself. For the near future I'll be travelling in Australia but have plans to participate globally!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love to have new experiences.
For me, couch surfing will hopefully be a great one!

Interests

Wow, way too many to list in this little box.
At the moment I'm learning to speak Spanish (veeeery slowly), getting back into cycling thanks to the Riesling Trail, and looking to start motorbiking soon as a cheaper means to see more of the state/country.

My biggest interests (as I'm sure is the same with many couch surfers) are seeking out new places and experiences, being active and not letting life pass me by!

Music, Movies, and Books

There are way too many great musicians, books and movies to list!
My favourites at the moment (changing on a daily basis!) are:
Musician: Hungary Kids of Hungary
Book: The Long Way Round
Movie: A Map for Saturday

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thankfully, I have way more than one amazing thing I've done in my life. The top five would have to be...

- Sneaking up on Saltwater Crocodiles in a survey boat last year in Mackay, Queensland.

- Scuba-diving in the outer Great Barrier Reef in Cairns, Queensland.

- Riding a donkey up a cobble-stoned hill this year in Santorini, Greece.

- Bungee-jumping off the longest suspended bridge in the world this year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

- Looking out over the snow-capped mountains of Innsbruck, Austria earlier this year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have the awesome privelidge of working in some of South Australia's National Parks. I'm always keen for visits and to share whatever knowledge I might have on the wildlife.

I also took up ukulele last year and, although I have MANY friends who fare better than me, I love jamming and showing off my sweet little guitar.
