Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently I am based in Berlin studying a masters degree and freelancing as a reporter. I want to live a life full of colourful experiences, I love to abandon my comfort zone and try out challenging things constantly.
In the long term, I am fully commiting to become an investigative journalist and cover human rights issues internationally. There is one dream I want to fulfill: to take a couple of years off and travel around the whole world.
ABOUT ME
People say I am a very cheerful person. Indeed, I always have a smile in my lips. I like to put a lot of passion in the things I do. I love to watch films, I could watch several films a day. My second dream job would be to become a filmmaker. I enjoy learning new languages and hope to speak maybe eight fluently when I am old. I like to seat in cafés with a book and read for hours. If I have some companion, to chat deeply for hours. I admire people who have a purpose or mission in life. I am amazed about how diverse this world is and hope that TV and neocolonialism won't destroy this, because diversity is beautiful and human. I am a people person but love to spend time alone as well.
PHILOSOPHY
"Breathe it all in, love it all out"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I made a short documentary film about couchsurfing for my journalism studies (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fguz-Ny7-mI). I discovered this way of travelling more than two years ago when I met a Couchsurfer in Berlin, Natalie, who now is a good friend. I couchsurfed during my last 4 month trip around Ecuador, Perú and Bolivia. I think this way of travelling is revolutionary and that everybody should try it at least once. I like to host people when I am not able to travel and I can have time for them, and one day when I have children I want them to grow seeing how we host people from all over the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couchsurfing experience so far has been great. I believe there is no better way of traveling than staying with locals and explore that country from within. I don't feel comfortable with mass tourism, so in order to live genuine experiences I always try to spend time with locals. Likewise, I enjoy having people from different ages, backgrounds and cultures staying in my shared flat. It is somehow a way of traveling without moving in space. Hosting couchsurfers is very enrichening and some of them have even become good friends.
