About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Viajamos para cambiar, no de lugar, sino de ideas

ABOUT ME

I'm a world citizen who was born and raised in the U.S. I lived in Barcelona, Spain between 2011-2013 and now I'm currently living in Wellington, New Zealand where I'm doing my Master's in Cross-Cultural Psychology. I have just completed my first year and this year I will start my thesis. I love the outdoors, sports, cooking, and music. Specifically, I've been an avid/competitive sailor my whole life racing on many different types of boats. I also play field hockey and enjoy dabbling in new sports or other things! I'm easy going, enjoy meeting new people, seeing new places and of course traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

Listen to others, try new things, and get outside your comfort zone because thats when the most exciting things happen!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm looking for a host in Oslo arriving Friday June 26th and departing Sunday June 28th before I take the train to Bergen where I'll be attending a psychology conference!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While living in Spain for two years, I traveled around the north of Spain and was hosted by three amazing people who took such good care of me! I'm forever grateful!

Interests

People and culture really fascinate me. I love seeing the differences between culture and traditions and how people live differently between different countries and places. I spend a lot of my time outside. I often sail at the weekends, hang out with friends or try to keep up with school work :) I also work as an English teacher at a local language school in Wellington.

Music, Movies, and Books

Into the Wild. Lots of different types of music... but maybe all things electronic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Machu Picchu. Woke up really early in the morning. Was the first person in line to enter before the sun rose. Was the first person to be allowed into Machu Picchu and for a brief moment I had the whole thing to myself!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a certified English teacher so I can teach English! I can teach you how to sail (if you have a boat we could use)!

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain
