CURRENT MISSION

Now that Micha got his Bachelor degree, we're off to see some parts of the world on an extended trip to America and Southeast Asia!

ABOUT ME

We're Sara (28) and Micha (27), a nurse and a social worker. I (Sara) am the more settled character, a good listener and empathic; Micha is more extroverted, but very caring!
We got married in September 2010 and live in a 2 bedroom-appartment in Basel-City!

PHILOSOPHY

Love your neighbour as yourself.
We are both Christians. To us, this means believing that God is love and is loving each and everyone everywhere - no exceptions! And this is how we want to treat people, too: with love and respect. We haven't got all the answers and we don't have to; we're hoping to continiously grow spiritually by learning from others and become compassionate and loving human beings.

As for now, we are looking for people to meet/stay on our big journey through the US! Of course everyone will be more than welcome to stay with us in Basel if you're crossing Switzerland!

I (Sara) previously couchsurfed in America and had such a great time!! Thanks to all the great people i got to know!!

Interests

We both enjoy travelling, the company of friends, a good conversation, (listening to, singing and playing) music, food, nature, all kinds of sports (I love my tae bo courses and enjoy going for a run! Micha's more into fishing and football [anything with a ball, really]), games of all kinds, watch movies/tv shows ... and sometimes we just like to chill and do nothing at all.

Movies
The Big Lebowski, Lost in Translation, The Darjeeling Limited (and all the other Wes Anderson movies), The Boat That Rocked, also a lot of the cheesy, stupid, romantic hollywood-comedies (like Love Actually, Laws Of Attraction, The Holiday, Notting Hill and so on), ...

Music
Loads of bands; some of our favourites are: The National, Elbow, Oasis, Coldplay, Don Potter, Richard Ashcroft, The Beatles, B.R.M.C., ... and sometimes you need a childhood-revival and let them 90s come alive with BSB, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and all the other cheesy pop you loved back then!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Our wedding day was one of the most fantastic experiences ever for the both of us - just one big celebration with all the people we love!

Teach, Learn, Share

We both like to sing, so if you happen to have a guitar or a piano standing around, Micha is really good playing/singing his own songs or rocking some cover songs! (Sara wrote that without my approval, I should add – she's by far the better singer)
