About Me

*** I travel quite a lot too so hosting is compromised by my travel dates AND we don't host during working days***

I'm curious and I love learning new things about everything.

I'm a bit of an introvert so sometimes I look quiet and need time for myself.

Oh, and do love food! I used to be a food blogger! I love both equally eating and cooking and sharing food and recipes from all over the world. You can check out my recipes here --- http://www.cocinaparaemancipados.com (only in Spanish though)

* Before you continue to read about me, please read the My home section, it's very important *

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first official Couchsurfing experience happened in July 2015 but I was already doing it before joining the platform and even before knowing what it was.

During my Erasmus, my roommate (and today best friend) and I exchanged rooms with some other students and we got to visit other cities this way. I remembre the thrill of meeting someone new, knowing we would share at least one night but had no idea about how these people were! Maybe it was a bit crazy thinking back but it turned out perfectly well and encouraged me to meet and host more people.

So I did. My parents have hosted Italians, Egyptians and Dutch people, even sometimes when I was not there!

Also, when living abroad I used to meet people from all over. Now it's been a while that I am back home but I want to continue making international friends and traveling through other's experiences.

And of course, one of my priorities when traveling is meeting local people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Amélie. Garden State. Love actually. Juno.

Books: Anything from Isabel Allende and Almudena Grandes. Other books I like: 1Q84, Ensemble c'est tout, the trilogy of Katherine Pancol...

Music: I love Regina Spektor and folk music. Can't work without music, big fan of Spotify but actually quite bad at remembering names of songs or groups. Shame on me!
