About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be present, enjoy life

ABOUT ME

I am independent, friendly, and care about people and the health of the world. I like to spend time with friends, meet new people, learn languages, and see new places. I love where I live, but I like to get out and gain new perspectives.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to its fullest. Laugh lots. Make positive contributions. Fight injustice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met and stayed with a dear friend couchsurfing in Sweden. It was a great experience and I also met a lot of other couch surfers while traveling in Europe, and it was a fun way to connect comparing stories. A friend and I formally and informally couch surfed in Norway and Ireland a few summers ago. I have hosted quite a few folks now where I live as well.

Interests

Plants, organic agriculture, hakomi therapy, appropriate technology, hiking, swimming, travel, reading, languages, herbalism, music, dancing, summersaults on warm days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a Pacific leatherback sea turtle lay her eggs in the middle of the night on the beach in Costa Rica. It was amazing. Machu Picchu in Peru was the most incredible human settlement I have ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a smattering of skills and knowledge. Have tons of childcare experience and love taking care of kids--especially babies (grew up working in the family business--daycare centers), botanical and environmental knowledge (from education and work experience), some herbalism knowledge (currently studying more), I'm great at organizing, I know a few songs on guitar but aspire to learn more...umm....this section is hard! If I know about something I will undoubtedly let you know because I tend to speak my mind.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Montenegro, Norway, Peru, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
