ABOUT ME

My name is Sara, I'm 33 years old and I live in Massachusetts, US with my wife AJ. I am a HEAVILY tattooed (at least 1/3 of my body is covered!) feminist, am nonmonogamous and queer (and am married to a woman, obvs), have been a punk rocker/metalhead since age 11, and am about as liberal/left as it gets. Just puttin' all that out there, as some people get weirded out by 1+ of those things! I was born into a poor family, so we never went on any vacations when I was a child...well, we went to the same place in Pennsylvania for a weekend every year! As well, I finished 7 years of full-time university (undergrad and grad school) 7 years ago, which served as a drain on my finances and time. Now I finally have the resources to visit the places I'd like to. I've traveled over 20 countries now, but have so many more I want to experience. So, doing my best to hit them up...maybe I'll be coming to yours! I try to average about 1-2 per year. This year I'm doing China solo and Ecuador with my wife!

I'm an easygoing, intellectual person who enjoys going to punk and metal shows, getting tattooed, seeing art and culture, amateur anthropology/archaeology, and discovering cultural histories/heritages. People say I'm fun, likable, and easy to befriend...but I'll let you be the judge of that hehe. Maybe I'll see you soon?!

I have stayed with Internet buddies and have Couchsurfed before and have had enjoyable experiences. Hopefully, I'll have more in the future!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm a huge fan of horror in all media formats. As well, I enjoy Mel Brooks comedy films, punk/metal/psychobilly/hxc/riotgrrl music, and true crime and political rhetoric tomes.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I backpacked the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, and it was beautiful and humbling. Seeing a sunrise over the Laguna Bacalar = priceless! Spending months backpacking Europe was priceless as well. Southeast Asia was awesome, especially the Angkor Temples.
