Overview
About Me
I'm a world-saving marine biologist who is enthusiast about the most silly things, easy going (that's what friends say), crazy (that's what friends say), but also down-to-earth and a good listener. I like to take an evening walk just to enjoy being alive. Plastic is my worst enemy and I tackle the plastic pollution problems everyday; I also try to live sustainable. However, flying is my worst crime...
Hiking, climbing, running, biking, swimming, ... you name it; I can really enjoy some good outdoor adventures, get some adrenaline and feel alive. Though I can be a real couchpotato as well hehe.

Music, Movies, and Books
I dig a lot of different genres and styles. I like festivals where I can wander around, explore and discover new music bands and artist. It's all about the vibes. I guess the music I listen to depends on the mood I'm in; though most of the time I listen to a local radio station, enjoying whatever they play.
I love reading, and especially crime romans, they can really drag me away from the moment. But again, sometimes I feel like reading a romantic book, my mood is in charge of a lot of things I guess.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was just this year that I worked as a research assistant in the field for a project on humpback whales and another on killer whales! It was like being in a dream. I had to drive the boat while we were surrounded by killer whales, it was amazing how they accept you one moment and can just swim away the other. Driving the boat makes you feel aware of all surroundings; you sense the ocean movements and how it affects the boats movements and speed; you need to check were the animals are all the time; you need to check where you are in the area; ... It all makes you feel alive, makes you live in the moment, it give me energy that lasted for few days after an encounter.
Couch surfing! What a great idea!
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyday and everywhere I try to make people aware of climate change and all its different aspects; from plastic pollution to the meat industry. It's an issue that can't be ignored anymore and my moto is 'a lot of small, make one big'.
Recently I am super into cooking and I feel like I still have a looooot to learn; it would be amazing if I could exchange cooking skills with people from all over the world! Because don't we all love food?
Btw, I'm super keen to learn surfing! At the moment I try to use my longboard as often as possible (to go to the bakery?), just because it's fun, and to improve my stability, I'm still clumsy on any board.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My enthusiasm about Belgian beers. Or funny, scary or emotional stories of my adventures during my international masters program. Just any good conversation about any topic. I always try to share my view on climate change and the problems we are facing; more especially I try to pass on my enthusiasm of 'saving the world'.
