Hi there!

My name is Sara and I am a 29-year-old languages teacher living in Oxford.

I am a passionate about art, specially about ancient and modern art. During my Erasmus year in Bolonia (Italy) I took a course of modern art which was fascinating. I am also a lover of British culture: their music, landscapes and language. I went to the UK for the first time when I was 16 in order to take an English summer course in Hastings. That experience changed me completely and the next year I decided to travel, once more, to the UK, and I took another English summer course in Oxford. It was then when I definitely fell in love with British way of life and became addicted to tea (with milk, of course).

If I had to define myself in four words (and according to what others say about me), I would say...

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I decided to join Couchsurfing in order to meet people to share my interests and passions with. Up to the present day, I can proudly say that I have reached my goal so far ;)

At the moment, I am not able to host anyone, since I am living in a shared apartment and I don't have any bedrooms/bed available. However, I will be glad to meet travellers or locals.

Improving my English & Italian and meeting new people from Valencia have also been two main reason why I decided to join Couchsurfing.

Films: Into The Wild, A Clockwork Orange, Dogville, The Piano, Der Himmel über Berlin, Lolita and Vanilla Sky.

Books: Demian (Herman Hesse), F. NIETZSCHE, Deseo de ser piel roja (Miquel MOREY), M. FOUCAULT, The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan KUNDERA), Niebla (M. UNAMUNO)... I think it is almost impossible for me to finish this list!

- Spanish and Catalan, as my mother tongues, and Italian and English, being my second languages;
- Secret corners to discover in Valencia and Alcoy (Alicante), the two cities that I know the most!
- Spanish and Italian cuisine: I love cooking!
