About Me

Hi there!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a full-time traveller, I love the idea of alternating between housesitting and couch-surfing as it not only allows me to see new parts of the world that I may have not otherwise seen and have experiences that I otherwise might not have had, but it also allows me to meet new people and experience a location through the eyes of a local. Throughout all of my travels, no matter where I've been, the memories that I hold dearest and the experiences that I remember most fondly have been times spent with incredible people that I've met all over the world. To me, it's the people in a place that make a place so special.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music: as cliché as it sounds, I really love all music. what I'm listening to right now: tame impala, l'imperatrice, two feet, the lion king soundtrack lol

Favourite movies/books: my fave movies and books are historical non-fiction stories. I also love a good documentary (current favourite is Free Solo), and I am an avid John Oliver last week tonight follower

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I flew a propellor plane to a remote island in Malawi... and survived to tell the tale

Teach, Learn, Share

I would also call myself a pretty decent cook (it's one of my favourite, if not my favourite, hobby) and I especially love to share meals with others. My happiest moments are spent around a table with good food and great people. I am also quite famous in my social circle at home for my Canadian pancakes... I'd be happy to share :). I have a knack of finding Canadian maple syrup no matter where I am in the world.

I also have some pretty hilarious travel stories (mostly from my interesting times spent in Africa) that always get some good laughs. I also have millions and billions of Zimbabwean dollars travelling with me so you'd be able to say you hosted a billionaire in your home (the billions are worthless but no one needs to know that!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Positive energy :). The people that know me describe me as easy-going, very 'present' in the moment, a good listener, and very open-minded. I love meeting new people from different cultures as well as sharing my own. The best education I've ever received has been learning through listening to the stories and experiences of people around the world.
