Hello! My name is Sarah and I am currently living in Kansas City, MO with my fur child, Sunshine. I'm 28 years old, Sunny is a 6 1/2 year old English Bulldog.
Here in KCMO- I bartend for a living. I serve tables sometimes as well. I have about 13 years experience in this avenue of work and I enjoy it quite well. It's good money and definitely a great job to have if you want to take off time to travel the world. Which is now my focus in life. I want to see the world and educate myself on everything I can with the first person experience. I will be traveling alone so it is going to be a journey of a lifetime.
A big impact in my life happened recently and had effected me enough to really push myself to go for it and travel alone. My grandmother, my favorite person, recently passed away in February of 2017. She has been my inspiration since I was a little kid when it came to traveling. After she was diagnosed with lung cancer I went to have my last visit in February with her in Oklahoma City. Then and there through our quiet conversation I made a promise to stop putting it off. I told her I was going to finally be myself and do what I want to do. I don't have anything holding me back! We held hands and I know she will be with me the whole time.
This is a small, yet large part of me. If anyone can help me along the way, I can honestly say it's amazing of you to help and I am incredibly thankful.

UPDATE 1/17/18

I had the trip of a lifetime in Europe! I stayed for 2 months. Ever since I have been home in Missouri I have been working relentlessly to save money and I will be back for 3 months this time. I'm also planning on skipping out to Thailand in May :)
So I am back on here and ready to do a bit more traveling! I can't wait to meet more couch surfers and explore new places!

Quick bit of information pertaining to the recent personal review. If I need to explain anything, I am more than happy to do so, but in the end it is actually because I changed my mind. I felt uncomfortable and like an inconvenience to him. I chose to take another offer. It's my right to do so and it wasn't my intention to make him angry, but him leaving a 'would not recommend' and a lengthy note over it is wrong! I obviously made the right decision to stay somewhere else. I wish him all the best, but this wasn't necessary. Chalk it up to a huge misunderstanding.

So, if I don't feel comfortable, I won't stay. I'm not couch surfing to put myself in bad or uncomfortable situations. I'm doing it for the experience and mutual respect between human beings. I love this entire concept.

Second update 12/15/18

Currently in Poland and traveling for 6 weeks :)
I am in a relationship with a man back home and so I do prefer to be hosted by females or possibly couples. No offense, but I do not think it is appropriate to stay alone with another man if I am in a relationship. I love him and want to respect us as a couple always!

Alternative Music and Indie mostly. I do enjoy Classical symphony, and music from all other eras and genres. You'll catch me listening to The Doors one day and then I have Miles Davis on the next. I love all music.... but!
The only music I do not enjoy is country. Mainstream country - I cannot stand it!

My favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. A few others that I love include: True Romance, Princess Bride, Se7en, Fargo, Gladiator, Star Wars, Harry Potter and more.

Shows: GoT, Fargo, iZombie, Arrested Development, SoA, Love, Sense8, and more.

Books include the Harry Potter series, The Lisabeth Salander series by Stieg Larsson, The Alchemist, The Suntle Art of Not Giving a F*ck and many many more.
