About Me
I grew up in Ireland, worked as a Physiotherapist in Ireland & Canada, travelled through Asia to Australia on a working holiday. Stayed in Australia, studied Environmental Science in Perth, WA and gained a PhD. Grew organic asparagus. I have worked for the Dept. of Conservation in Western Australia based in Albany on the South Coast since 1994. My work focuses on the conservation of rare and endangered plants. I am married with 2 sons who are now at university in Perth. my husband owns a nursery and landscape supplies business in Albany. My main interests are sport, surfing, hiking, cycling, rowing, travel and the environment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and couch surfing sounds like a great way to meet people. While I am happy to camp, use airbnb, hostels etc, there are times when couchsurfing may be a really good alternative.
