Overview
About Me
I am Sarah, 29, from Germany (near Cologne). I am a digital nomad with my own company and work as a freelance copywriter and photographer. I usually travel several months a year by working on the road. Time is much more important to me than money. I don't need much to be happy and I got rid of many possessions I had when I was younger. The most important things in life are not the ones you can buy.
In 2017 I traveled the entire USA alone for 4 months. That's when I got into couchsurfing. I made marvellous experiences, many friends and even met my fiancé here! Isn't life wonderful!?
What I love: TRAVELING, music (blues, rock, acoustic singer-songwriter stuff, jazz), photography, writing, art, culture, nature, hiking, playing the guitar, painting, reading, the seaside, cats and red wine.
I'm open-minded, very laid-back, respectful, curious, communicative and fun!
BUT: If you make it complicated for me to get to your place to simply stay there (hiding your adress until 5 mins before my arrival or telling me to wait at McDonalds until midnight or locking my belongings without handing me a key or telling me before - what unfortunately all happend to me), then be honest and decline my request.
In any other case: I will treat your home like my own - with respect and love. I promise a lot of fun, good conversations, inspiraton and a helping hand if needed.
My philosophy in life: Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do!
Places I have been to so far:
New York City, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, Chicago, the entire Route 66, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Yellowstone, a bunch of National Parks in Utah and Arizona, Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Amsterdam, Brussels, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, the West Coast of Ireland, Berlin, Hamburg, London, Prague, Vienna, Lisbon, Paris, Marseille, Andalusia, Cote d'Azur, the Canaries, Normandy, Rome, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Naples and Tuscany.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm NOT looking for a cheap place to stay! I am looking for interesting people with stories to tell, adventures to share and experiences to make. I would love to explore your hometown area with you, to have meaningful conversations, fun and just a great exchange of travel spirits!
