About Me

I'm living from day to day trying to enjoy the moment and the small things in life. In the same time I‘m struggeling in trying to understand the world and what is going on in it. Not a good idea. Because it is not possible. I‘m often confronted with the insufficiency of my intellectual knowledge. That‘s why I love discussions about almost every topic and I‘m always keen to learn something new.
Of course there is not only my serious, „trying-to-behave-very-adult“ side. I‘m still a kid. laughing around a lot. doing unreasonable things. enjoying the moments of pure joy by jumping in a cold river on a hot summers day, drinking from the same beer bottle with a stranger, kissing dogs, standing on a cliff and scream as loud as I can, making snowballs and throwing them to random people...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to learn, to share, to laugh, to discuss, to make happy, to show around, to travel. Sometimes we are so stuck in our daily lives that I forget about these things. Couchsurfing is just the solution for this problem.

Interests

I can get into almost everything and always quite quickly. That‘s why I‘m often hoping from one thing to another, feeling disquietingly. because there is just too much things I have an eye on. and not so much time. and not so much will to focus on one thing only.
But basically
*I‘m in love with the nature (but I think an understanding of nature lies beyond the reach of human intelligence) and being in her
*I like spiritual stuff like meditation - yoga - taiji - just like all the super duper hippie digital zen nomad people
*I do some sports, mostly outdoors if possible
*hanging around doing nothing or being ironic.
*cooking!
*and everything else I didn‘t mention so far.

Music, Movies, and Books

Totally into local bands as much as I love famous artists like Patrick Watson, Muse, The Black Angels, The DO, The national,... Everthing from A to Z.

I like movies which are out of the hollywood-happy-end-pattern. and really into documentaries. please don‘t talk to me about series.

Not so good in literary books. don‘t really understand them sometime. I prefer based-on-true-story books, novels, tales. My favourite book is about the incredible skills of snails.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Vipassana Insight Meditation - Teached me that all people are suffering, everything is impermanent and we cannot control things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to do a handstand or how to juggle. Or maybe if you are really nice, I can teach you how to fold a boat out of paper.
From you as my host I would like to learn whatever you can teach. no special abilities required ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Myanmar, Namibia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey
