About Me
Hey there :) I've lived in the small Belgian town called Eupen, situated in the German speaking community right at the border to Germany, for all my life. Well, exactly actually. Right after finishing High School, I lived in Ireland as an AuPair girl for nine months. I stayed with a lovely family with six kids right in the middle of the country, surrounded by fields with sheep in the picturesque Slieve Bloom Mountains. The country is like a second home to me, I love the music and the warm hearted people. I really dived into the culture, since the family was very musical so I tagged along to Irish singing and Tin Whistle lessons.
I love the English language and I can't get enough of hearing all kinds of accents, watching tv shows and movies in English and reading English books. I also enjoy having a night out with friends or staying at one of our houses to have a couple of drinks and listen to music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In all honesty, I was looking for an affordable option of seeing a bit more of another country. But the side effect of meeting new people and really experiencing another culture first hand and getting tips about their native city is definitely a huge plus :)

Music, Movies, and Books
God, there's so much to mention here...
I'm definitely binging a lot of shows on Netflix at the moment - Once Upon a Time, 13 Reasons Why, Supernatural, Jessica Jones, Doctor Who, The 100, Firefly, Continuum, Downton Abbey,... just to mention a few of them
I'm a big fan of readin too, The Dark Tower, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Divergent, Hunger Games, Cecelia Ahern Books, books by Kate Morton, classics like Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland are some of them
I adore the Irish culture and the music is a giant part of it, I listen to Irish music and sing some songs myself all the time. I also like to listen to Adele and sing along. I like songs that have good lyrics and the kind I can sing along to so I'll give my apologies in advance if I might annoy you with my singing ^^
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My best experience so far was really the time I spent in Ireland as an AuPair girl. The Irish are definitely some of the most warm hearted people I've ever met and the country is more than worht a visit.
Besides that, my best experiences are with my awesome group of friends that I couldn't live without. High School was a really bad experience for me and meeting those people that became my closest friends helped me to grow as a person so I'd never want to miss that
