About Me

CURRENT MISSION

General Life Mission: I want to experience life everywhere. I love thrills and traveling is chief of thrills and getting out of the comfort zone.

ABOUT ME

I'm goofy, silly, but know how to be serious at the right times. I'm easy-going and not picky--I'm keen on trying new things, places, and foods.

I'm a graduate of Purdue University, where I studied Biological Food Process Engineering, Naval Science, and Political Science. I now live and work in Hawaii but keen on traveling the world! My life goals include serving in the Peace Corp or other international development efforts, thru hike the triple crown, visit all the continents, fall in love, and never say no to a new food or experience. When I cook at home, I eat vegan but I am vaguely vegan--in other words freegan otherwise. I do my best to live sustainably and am constantly in the process of paring down what I don't need.
I've been lucky enough to visit several countries and I'm keen on traveling until I can't any more.

PHILOSOPHY

"A journey is best measured in friends, not miles" -Tim Cahill

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couch surfed in Australia, New Zealand, and the various parts of the states while visiting and loved the people I met as well as the events. It's a great opportunity to meet others from around the world and spread culture and friendship. I have surfed several times and hosted more. Every person I've met has instilled in me a love for others and for myself.

Interests

Pretty much like everything from outdoorsy hiking/camping and rock climbing to fashion shows and cooking. I am currently learning how to white water kayak. I love to swim/snorkel/SCUBA and am working on higher certifications (advanced open water/dry suit/cave diving). I like watching and practicing MMA as well as football (soccer). I like art quite a bit-from appreciating others' talents to making my own pottery or photography. I love wine/beer/chocolate/coffee tasting and I have an addiction to bubble tea.
