About Me

My name is Sarah, I'm 22 years old. 22 years of curiosity, 22 years of discovery, 22 years of awakening ..

I am the most positive person in the world, I try to see beauty in every thing that surrounds me ... I developed a great passion for travel through my parents. During my childhood, it was impossible to rest for a day. Every weekend was full of discoveries, of walks by the sea, of mountain hikes, of trips throught Europe..

The best year of my life was when I lived in Canada in Vancouver in 2015. I met wonderful people from all backgrounds, from all countries. I celebrated my birthday with people from Brazil, Japan; Peru, France, Italy, China, Taiwan, Belgium, Ireland, all in the same room!

Now I'm studying Marketing and working at the same time for an insurrance company, but my dream is to do marketing in the tourism industry and continue to discover the world during my free time

I Travel with my amazing boyfriend Marc. He is 29 years old and it's the most funny guy I know. He is very social and If he is alone in a room, he is able to speak to a plant so as not to feel alone.
He is working with children, in the field of education.

We are enjoing life to the fullest, and we are impatient to meet you. see you soon !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join Couchsurfing for one reason: I share the same values as most people present on the platform.

I like to travel, but more than that, I think that the essence of a journey is through the discovery of a culture, of another way of thinking, of seeing life...

And the best way to discover a culture is to meet and learn to know local. That's why I'm here

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is not just breathing, it's to have breath taken away because of wonderment ...

That morning, I was very reluctant to get up, tired of my week and an over-alcoholic night, feeling that a weekend to rest in my bed might be more reasonable. And then I remembered that I had only one life, and that I was very lucky to be here, in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

So I swallowed 3 dolipranes, took a cold shower and put my backpack on my back and my converses at my feet, and I left to join my friend on the quay of the station "Pacific central"

It was 7 am, and in a hurry I had only taken a small fine jacket to protect me from the freezing cold of that morning. We got on the bus, and I finished my night on the way, struggling to spare my neighbor of the weight of my head on her shoulder.

And then we are arrived in Squamish, a modest little town with no great charm, in which we have shared a breakfast at the local Starbucks. We have called a taxi, crossing the 10 km that separated us from the beginning of the trail , trying to converse with the driver who had a difficult accent to understand

7 hours of hiking sheltered by the fir trees of a Canadian forest, exceeding my limits to climb higher up on the mountain. The legs burning a little more at each step, but determination stronger than anything. We could not imagine what we would find at the end of the path, but curiosity and the thirst for adventure urged us not to let go.

And then at the last turn of the road, this amazing landscape is appeared , as beautiful as it left us speechless, stunned in front of so much beauty and space ...

We have eat on the edge of a rock.My friend Atsuki, with Japanese origin had chosen for his lunch a sandwich ham / butter, and for me I had chosen sushi. The paradox made us laugh a lot.

We spent two good hours facing the void, wondering how it was possible that a landscape would astound us so much. We thought of all those we loved, and with whom we would have wanted to share this moment.

How I could have imagined a second stay in my bed this morning ... That day I made the promise never to give up and let myself go to the melancholy of life. Never let routine taint my "joie de vivre" and whatever happens, hang on to my dreams and projects. Happiness will not fall on you, happiness you have to go find it, put on your converses and your backpack, climb the mountain despite the obstacles, and discover that there is something else behind this wall of pines
