About Me

Hi, I'm Sarah! I love traveling and meeting new people. I'm always up or down for an adventure, grabbing a beverage (alcoholic or otherwise), or a game of UNO. Generally I'm pretty happy-go-lucky & like to see where the wind takes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new friends and go grandiose adventures around the world—or just around the corner. I love it when the world feels smaller—and meeting new people, exploring new & familiar places with new eyes can make that happen.

Music, Movies, and Books

I go through phases with music and I’m really not picky, as in I’ll happy rock out to some doom metal and will not whine too much about whatever is on the radio unless it’s objectively bad—but I’ll forever be on an ABBA kick. In terms of movies, I’m honestly game for anything that isn’t a horror film. But my favorites black & white classics and science fiction—because duality. For books, I consider the HP series as reverent as some folks consider the bible, and I’m currently reading a couple books of short stories & studying Icelandic!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Half Dome in Yosemite with a carpal tunnel brace on each hand.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what I can teach you, but I love to learn new things and experience new cultures. Maybe I’ll surprise both of us with what I can teach and share with you! The best way to do that, I’ve found, is over a meal or a cup of tea.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking, though it’s on the plant based side of things. I'm also great with dogs and kids--I have a healthy respect for cats. I'm a decent conversationalist, an active listener, and I’m told that I have an infectious (though I sometimes think it’s obnoxious) laugh.
