About Me

Current Senior at St. John's College. It's a Liberal Arts/Philosophy kind of a place. Grew up where the only vacation my family took, was to the nearest lake to fish. I treasure those days. But now, I'm looking to explore a bit more territory. And that's what I've been doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On one level, affordability. But that's not as cold of an answer as it may seem at first: I value the opportunity of travel that CS offers to those that might otherwise not have it open to them. That's a beautiful thing.

For me, travel implicitly means that I am there to connect with those I meet. CS is perfect for that. To teach, learn, share. If you're not engaging with your surroundings, you might as well have just stayed home and flipped on the travel channel.

Interests

Really, I'm interested in doing anything that gets me outside; not in an adrenaline junky way, but in a 'look at this crazy beautiful world!!!' way. I've been known to haunt coffee shops, parks, and the top of mountains. I'm always down for an adventure, but I also appreciate nights that consist of a cup of tea and calm vibes.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent at least one collective month in a tent for the past 3 years.

OH AND
One summer, as a kid, I was taking care of a baby crow that fell out of a pine tree at my house. One day, I was feeding it. But it took the spoon from me and swallowed it whole... That is probably my most vivid childhood memory... (Don't worry, it coughed it up completely unfazed)

Teach, Learn, Share

Yes, all great things to do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm keen to offer warmth, respect, and a good conversation.

I love to cook and bake, but I will confess that I think my enthusiasm sometimes outruns my skill.

My current work is in dog training, sitting, and grooming. In short, if you have a dog question, I probably have a dog answer.

I come from a long line of farmers, I have quite a stock of practical skills handy... Feel free to have me help out!
