About Me

I grew up in a little beach town in Southern California called San Clemente, learned to surf at a young age, played volleyball, and worked as a surf instructor at a surf camp every summer. I went on to study creative advertising & human rights at Southern Methodist University (not religiously affiliated) in Dallas, TX, and moved to Washington, D.C. after college graduation to live and work for a year. I moved back home to California last year to start my own business, here's my website I have always wanted to live and work abroad, so now I'm taking the leap!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be living in Australia for the next few months (mid-January to mid-April), I have never been to the country and am looking forward to meeting as many new people as I can! I am testing out my business to see if I can live and work abroad, which is my ultimate goal. I have friends who live in Sydney & Melbourne, but don't want to overstay my welcome with them :) I can't wait to meet you!

Music, Movies, and Books

A House In The Sky by Amanda Lindhout is my current favorite - give it a read!! All time music favorite is a little band called Delta Spirit - also check them out! I listen to all kinds of music and always have something playing in the car & at home. I love movies!! Hard to get specific on those, but Mrs. Doubtfire is by far my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studied and lived abroad in Italy for a summer & fell in love with the country, its food and its people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach English! I worked as a teacher's assistant with Exceptional Needs elementary aged students, and absolutely loved it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook & entertain, but professionally I am a photographer, web designer, graphic designer, and surf instructor, and basically an all-around helpful human :)
