Overview
About Me
Born and raised in Joburg, South Africa. I've been travelling since I was 20 (so in my third year now). I get very excited when I see dogs or food. I'm a veggie. Love a good movie night but give me a drinkie drink and a social butterfly comes out. Currently teaching English in Hanoi, Viet Nam.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I'm a youth travelling on her own buck so it's easy on the budget, and you get to really interact with a local instead of getting drunk with other backpackers (which of course has its place too :))

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite movies: The Dark Knight, The English Patient, Fight Club, Inception, Amelie, Inglourious Basterds. Screw Frozen, The Lion King is the greatest Disney film ever made.
Books: I've loved so many.
Music: Not that fussed - whatever works for the mood. I do have a soft spot for cinematic compositions and electro swing, though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked for 3 weeks in the Everest region of Nepal, sans guide or porter.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to do a better South African accent than Leo DiCaprio in Blood Diamond.
I love getting to know the local way of life, from mispronouncing the language to learning the quirks of the culture, and probably offending someone in the process.
I have some fairly ridiculous travel stories that I'd be thrilled to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good vibes, good laughs, a few Afrikaans swear words and the best cup of tea of your life.
