About Me

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Rochester, NY which is not far from a beautiful place called the Finger Lakes. I feel lucky to have grown up swimming in the lakes, and enjoying the beautiful harvest colors and flavors of autumn there.

I studied Sociology at College, which has shaped how I view society and has sparked a strong interest in social interaction on many levels. I worked for a large not-for-profit organization in Boston after I graduated but changed direction towards winemaking after a vintage spent as a cellar hand.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is changing all the time as I have new experiences, although striving to be a kinder, wiser, better person by challenging myself is a constant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I aim to be a great Couchsurfer by communicating well, keeping to my word, contributing to the household and writing reviews of fellow Couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started Couchsurfing in Australia. It was very rewarding to meet local people and get to know places through their eyes. I look forward to continue to meet the wonderful people in this community.

Interests

Winemaking, sculpture, pottery, and singing. I like to create and fix things. I like to learn how things work. Dance, especially Modern and African. Waterskiing. Camping. Yoga. Meditation. Concocting my own teas. Cooking. I have a lot of concern for social justice issues and want to find more ways in which I can make a positive impact on progress.
